Cama Beach Resort Historic Boats & Boathouse Exhibit
Cama Beach Resort rented boats to visitors, usually for fishing. Many of the boats are still at the resort on display and managed by Washington State Parks and Center for Wooden Boats. A marine railway or tracks carried boats on a dolly into the water. In the early years the boats were stored outside on racks; in 1950 a new boathouse was built and the tracks carried boats from the inside of the boathouse over the berm into the water. The boathouse is now operated by Center for Wooden Boats. The CWB now provides educational boat construction classes, programs and boating activities.
